History
Established in 1990, Shane Blackmon, a licensed pipe fitter, gas fitter, welder and the father of 7, founded BC Mechanical with the dream of building a company that could meet Greater Vancouver’s growing industrial needs.
Gastown Steam Clock
In 2014, thirty-seven years after it was erected at Cambie and Water, the Gastown Steam Clock was taken down to be repaired. Shane Blackmon, owner of BC Mechanical, was contracted to build a completely new steam system to operate the steam clock whistles.
